August 3rd, 2009 at 12:49pm Under Best Credit Card
I owe roughly $15,000 (between two cards). I was young and immature when it came to money and now I have to pay the price. I tried to get a new credit card to consolidate both balances but I was told in an application that my credit score was lowered by too many enquiries over a period of time (big bummer) so I can’t get a new card. I almost went with Capitol One, thats how desperate I was. But alas I’m still stuck with these two high interest cards. They’re college cards that I got when I was 18 (24 now). I tried to get the companies to lower the interest rate but they gave me a song and dance about the rates being on perma-set rate. So i need advice/help bad.

Don’t be so negative everyone. You won’t get rich, but I suggest rying the Harris Poll Online. They are one of the most respected Polling companies. They don’t give you cash, just points that you can redeem for prizes which I have already done… Here’s the link:http://www.harrispollonline.com

I’m in college and the place I’m trying to get an apartment in says I need to pay for a credit check for me and my parents after I informed them that I have no job at the moment and that my parents will be paying for my rent. Why would I have to pay $45 twice for credit checks when my parents are paying for my rent?

Should I get home equity line of credit or refinance with cash out?
I want to refinance my home to take advantage of lower interests rates. I also want to renovate my house and fix some things around.
Should I refinance and get cash out to use for home improvement or should I refinance without cash out and get a separate home equity line of credit?
Note: I already refinanced last year and got cash out.
