I need a mortgage and they claim they can remove most all bad debt from my credit history. I just wanted to get some feedback from those who have used this type of service. Thanks!

My bankruptcy was discharged in 2004 and I have not applied for a credit card until very recently (Secured Master Card with Capitol One).
I am planning to buy a house in the near future, what are some good ways to build some serious credit fast!
I also have $5000 available to invest into savings, GIC’s etc.

I have pretty awful credit due to collection accounts and deragatory credit items. I just this month took care of all of my collection accounts as well as caught up all of my accounts reporting past due. I do not have alot of credit cards but i the couple i do have been paid on time for the last 3 years, as well as my car payment being paid on time for 5 years. I was wondering how long it will take to raise my credit score? I had late payments reporting for my mortgage, i entered into a repayment plan after i fell behind when i was on maternity leave. I hadn’t realized that they would be reporting me like i was past due even though i was following my repayment schedule.

I have agreed to pay a substantial amount for credit repair services and now I am worrying that it won’t work. They say they can increase my credit score by 100-200 points. At this point I could still back out of it.
